Patriot League Rules
2026 Spring
1. Each team is allowed a maximum of 2 over the fence home runs per game. Any additional over the fence home runs by a team at the limit of 2 will result in a single and runners will advance as if it was a walk. A runner on base would only advance if there was a runner on 1st or bases loaded.
2. Substitutes: Players may fill in as a substitute for another team, as long as they fill in for a lower or equal rated player that they are replacing without the opposing team’s managers approval. Substitutes must be the last batters in the line up.
3. Teams must have 7 players to start the game. If less than 7 players for a regular season game then the team can pick up players to play that game, however, it will be recorded as a 7-0 forfeit in the books and stats will not count.
4. Coaches that picked up players to replace players that were not playing this season will have an option to either keep the replacement player(s) or place them in the draft when that player comes back. Choice is up to the coach.
5. Each team will receive one courtesy runner from 1st base. Team must notify score keeper with name and number of that said runner prior to the start of the game.
6. If an injury occurs to a player during game play, then the opposing coach must agree to allow another runner to run from first for the injured player.
7. Regardless of score, your team must always be competitive and make every attempt to win your game. If at any time the Umpire or the director feels a player/team is not playing to their full potential, the game will be immediately called and that team will forfeit. Director will then get with the executive committee and discuss further actions.
8. No foul language or outburst will be tolerated at anytime. Player will receive warning and then ejected after warning. The exception is any use of the F word said loud enough to be heard in the stands will result in immediate ejection!
